Does anyone know what would cause this?  There hasn't been any physical trauma to the laptop. 



Maybe the connector is coming undone?

If I am seeing what you are asking it is not the right color and fading a bit on the top? The picture is ok but you did not tell us what to look at. If it is what I am seeing it can be the connector is loose or it can also be the driver using the wrong color scheme. Does it look funny when it is booting? Do you have a monitor on a normal computer you can hook up to the second output and see if it looks fine on the actual monitor.

Well your corners are fading and you have that smear going diagonally.. your liquid display maybe have a crack and is being funky.. or it could be a loose/faulty connector.

Yeah, the problem I was talking about was the fading streak from the bottom right corner going up and to the left.

I hope it's just a loose connector so it won't cost $200 to fix.

It's not mine yet.  I just bought it for cheap and hoped there was a simple fix.  No Linux for me.  OSX/Vista dual boot coming up.

So it got here the other day and the screen has it even when it's off.  Does that mean it's the polarizers or something?
